This laceleaf Japanese Maple is a small tree with finely pointed purple-red leaves that turn bright crimson in the fall. A vigorous tree with a wide, cascading/weeping habit. As with many Japanese Maples, quite suitable for bonsai. When choosing a location, keep in mind that this tree has a slow growth rate. It grows up to 8 feet in height and 8 feet in spread. It can be planted in zones 5 to 8. Prefers well-drained soil that is rich on organic material and full or partial sun.
